Full job description

Warehouse Supervisor

Job Ref: 1422

Oversee and coordinate the daily warehouse activities whilst supervising the warehouse team to gain maximum output and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Overall management of Warehouse, Trade Counter and Transport Operations – Reporting directly to the Branch Manager.
Serving customers on the Trade Counter.
Picking and packing orders for delivery.
Loading of goods on to delivery vehicles.
Unloading goods received.
Checking and putting into stock of goods received.
General tidying / maintenance of office and stores areas.
Driving of company vehicles for goods deliveries (subject to acceptance as company driver).
Adhering to commercial driver regulations as per VOSA guidelines
Maintaining and adhering to goods receiving administration procedures.
Manage your time and sales activities to your best ability and in line with the interests of the company at all times
General office / clerical / administration duties if required.
Assist with annual stock-take
Hours of work to include Saturday mornings as required / scheduled by management.
Any other general duties as required by the company
Adhering to the company H&S policy and guidelines
Any other duties as required to assist in the smooth running of the branch.

All employees are expected to be flexible in their duties and responsibilities and may be asked to perform other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of their job and their level of responsibility.

Person Specification (desirable, but not essential):

Previous experience in a similar role
Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
Able to work on feet and capable of some heavy lifting
Hands on commitment to getting the job done
Excellent customer facing and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate strong organisational and efficiency skills

Behaviours:

Friendly and team orientated
Professional and able to remain calm under pressure
Highly organised
Excellent communication skills
