Full job description

Job Overview

Come and join our friendly, enthusiastic and motivated practice team. We are seeking a 20 hour per week medical receptionist. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly.
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality is upheld at all times.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow within the practice.

Requirements

Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
Strong administrative experience with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in using computer systems.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
A compassionate approach towards patients and their needs is highly desirable.

Hours to be worked

Monday to Friday on a rotational weekly shifts patterns;

Week 1) 8.00am – 12.00pm
Week 2) 9.30am – 1.30pm
Week 3) 2.00pm – 6.00pm
Week 4) 9.00am – 1.00pm

Flexibility is required to provide holiday cover for colleagues and in times of sickness.
