About Us

At Eleven Bikes, we're a small, independent bike shop with a big passion for cycling. We're a close-knit team that supports one another, shares knowledge, and takes pride in delivering honest advice, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service.

We're deeply committed to our local cycling community and believe bikes should be accessible to everyone. We work with all types of riders, from commuters and enthusiasts to families who rely on their bikes every day. We have extensive experience with cargo bikes, helping families find, maintain, and repair bikes that make everyday journeys easier, safer, and more enjoyable.

Whether we're supporting local events, helping someone choose their first bike, keeping a family cargo bike on the road, or servicing a high-performance road bike, our goal is always the same: to provide expert service and build lasting relationships with our customers and our community.

About the Role

As a Bicycle Mechanic at Eleven Bikes, you will play a key role in our workshop, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of bicycles to the highest standards. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will help ensure every bike leaves the workshop in excellent condition.

You'll also work directly with customers, providing friendly, knowledgeable advice and helping them choose the right parts, accessories, and service solutions to suit their needs.

Beyond workshop duties, you will help maintain a clean, organised, and efficient working environment, develop a strong understanding of our workshop processes and point-of-sale (POS) systems, and contribute ideas that help improve our service and support the continued growth of the business.

About You

You are someone who:

Has a genuine passion for cycling and a strong understanding of bicycle mechanics.
Takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service and creating a positive customer experience.
Can confidently explain technical information in a clear, friendly, and professional manner.
Works well independently and as part of a small team.
Is adaptable, proactive, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Pays close attention to detail and completes both workshop and administrative tasks accurately.
Maintains a clean, organised workspace and takes good care of workshop tools and equipment.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years' experience working as a bicycle mechanic within the cycle industry.
Cytech qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
Experience working with e-bike systems, including Bosch, Shimano, Fazua, Brose, Mahle, and Avinox.
Comfortable supporting off-site events and promotional activities when required.
Flexible to work occasional weekends and event days.
Good computer skills and confidence using workshop management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
