Full job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Storeman to join our team in Sheffield. In this hands-on role, you will be the backbone of our supply and logistics operations, ensuring that the right tools, materials, and goods are received, organized, and dispatched efficiently. If you have strong organizational skills, a background in inventory, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods In/Out: Unload and load delivery vehicles, inspect incoming goods for damages, and verify that deliveries match purchase orders.
Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock levels using our internal Inventory Management System.
Order Preparation: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare parts and materials for internal teams and external customers.
Store Organization: Ensure the warehouse, yard, and storage areas are kept clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Stock Audits: Carry out regular stock counts to reconcile physical inventory with the computer system and report any discrepancies.
Cross-Department Support: Liaise with purchasing, site management, and suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of materials.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience working in a stores, warehousing, or stock control position beneficial.
A valid Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence (Counterbalance/Reach) is highly desirable but not essential.
Basic IT literacy and comfort with using computer stock control systems.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina, as the role involves manual handling, lifting, and being on your feet.
A full, clean UK Driving Licence.

What We Offer:

Competitive salary ranging from £28'500 to £30'000 per annum.
20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
