Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift Supervisor Front of House to oversee daily operations within our hospitality environment. This role involves supervising front-of-house staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in restaurant or hospitality settings, and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. Responsibilities

Supervise front-of-house team members, including servers, hosts, and baristas, ensuring smooth shift operations
Oversee food preparation and service to guarantee quality standards are met or exceeded
Assist with food presentation and ensure adherence to food safety regulations
Manage customer interactions, resolving any issues promptly and professionally
Coordinate with kitchen staff to facilitate efficient food production and timely service
Monitor cleanliness and organisation of the dining area in compliance with health and safety standards
Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality, fostering a welcoming environment for guests
Support staff training programmes and promote team development initiatives
Ensure all operational procedures are followed consistently throughout shifts

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Experience in serving customers and managing guest relations effectively
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams under pressure
Knowledge of culinary processes, food production, and kitchen operations is desirable
Familiarity with hospitality standards, including barista experience or hotel service roles, is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods
