Full job description

PART-TIME ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT – 21 HOURS PER WEEK

Grayline Transport is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team!

We are looking for a reliable, organised and detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support our administration and finance team with the day-to-day running of our accounts department.

This is a part-time position working 21 hours per week over 3 days, ideal for an experienced accounts professional looking for a part-time opportunity within a growing business.

THE ROLE

Working as part of our administration and finance team, your responsibilities will include:

Processing purchase and supplier invoices
Managing supplier payments and reconciling supplier statements
Carrying out bank reconciliations
Accurate data entry and maintaining financial records
Assisting with month-end accounts and reporting
Processing staff expenses and resolving payment queries
Investigating and resolving discrepancies
Maintaining organised financial records and documentation
Helping to improve and streamline accounting processes

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in using Sage – ESSENTIAL
Previous accounts/finance experience
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident working with figures and financial information
Reliable, professional and able to work independently
Comfortable working to deadlines
A good communicator who works well as part of a team
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Able to work accurately in a busy, fast-paced environment

SAGE EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL

Applicants without previous Sage experience will not be considered.

HOURS

Part-time – 21 hours per week
3 days per week

Days and working hours to be discussed at interview.
