Field Sales Executive – Optometry Partnerships (B2B)

Field-based / Territory role | Full-time considered | Reporting to Head of Optometry

About OCL Vision

OCL Vision is a surgeon-led, technology-first ophthalmology group, delivering exceptional outcomes in laser vision correction, cataract surgery, lens replacement surgery, EVO ICL and corneal treatments. With clinics in Central London (Marylebone), Kensington, Elstree (Hertfordshire) and Eastbourne (Sussex), we combine world-class consultants with the latest technology and a premium patient experience.

As demand for private eye care continues to grow, OCL Vision is investing in its shared care network. This is a newly created, quota-carrying field sales role at the heart of that growth.

Role Overview

You'll be out on the road for most of every week, building and managing relationships with optometrists across your territory, pitching OCL Vision, and winning them as referral partners. You'll carry a target for new partnerships and referral volume.

We're looking for someone with a genuine sales track record and strong relationship-building skills; someone who can pitch confidently and build trust quickly with both clinical and business teams. Existing contacts in the optical or wider healthcare world are a big plus.

Salary & Package

Base salary

£36,000 – £38,000 per annum, depending on experience

Company car/ allowance

Provided for territory travel

Sign-up bonus

Commission payable on every new referral partner signed up

Referral commission

Ongoing commission on referral volume generated from your partner base

Key Responsibilities

1. Territory Sales & New Business (Primary Focus)

Own a defined territory of independent and multiple optometry practices, working a structured call and visit plan
Prospect, cold-call and door-knock new practices to win them as shared care referral partners
Pitch OCL Vision's consultants, outcomes and technology to convert prospects into active referrers
Carry and deliver against monthly and quarterly new-partner and referral volume targets
Negotiate and close partnership agreements, handling objections professionally

2. Account Growth

Manage and grow an existing base of referral partners, increasing referral volume through regular face-to-face contact
Identify opportunities for joint working, education sessions or co-hosted events to further strengthen relationships
Keep partners current on OCL Vision's services, consultants and outcomes to stay top of mind

3. Wider B2B Pipeline

Build relationships with adjacent referral sources such as GPs, corporate health providers and other relevant networks
Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities to expand the referral pipeline beyond core optometry
Represent OCL Vision at events, conferences and local networking opportunities to generate new leads

4. Events & Marketing Support

Plan and deliver optometrist education evenings and CPD events
Work with marketing to ensure consistent messaging and premium brand representation
Maintain an accurate, up-to-date sales pipeline in the CRM (Salesforce or similar)

Skills & Experience

Essential

Proven track record in a field sales, territory sales, or new business development role
Confident and comfortable cold-approaching new prospects
Strong negotiation and closing skills
Highly organised and self-motivated, comfortable managing your own diary and territory with minimal supervision
Experience using a CRM system to manage a pipeline
Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Desirable

Existing contacts or network within optometry, optical retail, or the wider healthcare and aesthetics sector
Field sales experience in healthcare, optics, aesthetics, medical devices or a related B2B sector
Experience running local events or lead-generation activity

Personal Attributes

Confident, credible and quick to build trust face-to-face
Commercially sharp, with a clear focus on growing relationships and customer care
Polished and professional, aligned with a premium healthcare brand
Genuinely happy spending the vast majority of the week out in the field

Location: Field-based, covering East Sussex and surrounding areas (base at our Eastbourne clinic)

Reporting to: Head of Optometry

Pay: £36,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
