Full job description

About the Role:

Fengxun Technology Solutions is looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team in London. You will provide practical technical support to employees and business clients, helping them resolve hardware, software, network and user access issues.

This position is suitable for someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating clearly and keeping technology running reliably. You will work with support colleagues, system administrators and external service providers to make sure technical requests are handled accurately and within agreed response times.

Key Responsibilities:

User Support:

Respond to technical support requests by telephone, email, remote support tools and in person when required.

Hardware Support:

Set up, configure and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers and other workplace devices.

Software Support:

Install approved applications, resolve common software errors and assist users with operating systems and business tools.

Account Administration:

Create, update and disable user accounts while following company access control and data security procedures.

Microsoft 365 Support:

Assist users with Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint and other Microsoft 365 services.

Network Troubleshooting:

Investigate basic internet, wireless network, virtual private network and office connectivity issues.

Device Preparation:

Prepare computers and equipment for new employees, replacements and office deployments.

Ticket Management:

Record support requests, troubleshooting actions and resolutions accurately in the service desk system.

Technical Documentation:

Create and update clear support guides, equipment records and troubleshooting instructions.

Escalation:

Recognise issues that require specialist assistance and provide complete information when escalating them to senior technical colleagues or service providers.

Security Support:

Help maintain secure working practices by reporting suspicious activity, applying approved updates and following password and access procedures.

Equipment Management:

Maintain accurate records of company devices, software licences and assigned technical equipment.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience:

Previous experience in IT support, technical customer service, service desk support or a similar technology based position is preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Good working knowledge of Windows computers, common office applications, printers, user accounts and basic network troubleshooting.

Microsoft Skills:

Experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint is desirable.

Troubleshooting:

Ability to investigate technical problems logically, test possible solutions and explain the outcome clearly to users.

Communication:

Strong spoken and written English with the ability to explain technical information in a patient and understandable way.

Organisation:

Ability to prioritise several support requests, maintain accurate records and meet agreed response times.

Customer Service:

A helpful and professional approach when supporting users with different levels of technical knowledge.

Mindset:

You are practical, patient and dependable. You take ownership of support requests, remain calm when priorities change and focus on finding solutions that allow users to return to work quickly.

Pay: £2,400.00-£2,800.00 per month
