Cleveland Cable Company is the UK's leading distributor of electrical cables and accessories. With branches nationwide, we pride ourselves on delivering a fast, reliable, and professional service to our customers. Our Northampton branch is currently seeking a versatile and hardworking Van Driver / Administrator to join our busy team.

Role Overview

This is a dual-purpose, hands-on role split between carrying out multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently out on the road, and providing essential administrative and customer support back in the branch office.

Key Responsibilities

Driving Duties: Safely operate company vehicles to carry out multi-drop deliveries and collections of cable and accessories to various customer sites and depots.
Vehicle Safety: Conduct daily pre-use vehicle checks, secure loads properly, and ensure all transport regulations and driving laws are strictly followed.
Administrative Duties: Handle general office tasks, including data entry, answering telephone and email enquiries, processing paperwork, and assisting with order scheduling.
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service both face-to-face with clients during deliveries and over the phone/email in the office.

Candidate Requirements

Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence with a clean record (or minimal points).
Skills: Good organisational skills, basic computer literacy (including Microsoft Office), and strong attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with a polite and professional telephone and customer-facing manner.
Work Ethic: Reliable, flexible, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
