Full job description

Part-Time Kennel Assistant Wanted

Lapford Lodge Kennels & Cattery is looking for a part-time Kennel Assistant to join our friendly team during our busiest period.

Availability:
Applicants must be available to work throughout August. Hours will vary depending on business needs and will include weekends.

Full training will be provided, although previous experience working in kennels, animal care, or with dogs and cats is preferred.

The role includes:

Providing excellent daily care for dogs and cats.
Meeting high animal welfare standards.
Walking and exercising dogs.
Feeding and administering daily routines.
Cleaning and maintaining kennels and cattery areas.
Providing enrichment and ensuring animals are comfortable and happy.
Welcoming customers and delivering excellent customer service.

We're looking for someone who is:

Reliable and hardworking.
Confident handling dogs and cats.
Physically fit and happy to be on their feet all day.
Calm, caring, and attentive to animal welfare.
Able to work as part of a team and independently.
In possession of their own transport due to our rural location.
