Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service, assisting with sales, and ensuring the shop operates smoothly. This position requires strong communication skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
Handle transactions accurately and efficiently at the till.
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop, including restocking shelves as necessary.
Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales.
Answer customer queries promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when required.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive working environment.
Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and conducting stock checks.

Skills

Proficient in basic maths to handle transactions and manage cash effectively.
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual or abilities, particularly in Spanish, are advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills to maintain an orderly shop environment.
Ability to sell products through effective customer engagement and upselling strategies.
