Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, supporting administrative functions.. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your accounting skills within a professional environment, contributing to the efficient running of our organisation.

Duties

Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence management
Prepare and send invoices, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain organised financial documentation
Collaborate with external accountants during audits or financial reviews
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Previous experience in administration or bookkeeping roles is desirable but not essential
