Operations & Customer Service Coordinator at Direct Storage

Location: Cardiff
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and hands-on Operations & Customer Service Coordinator to join our friendly team.

This is far more than a typical office role. Every day is different, and you'll be an integral part of the day-to-day running of our business. We are a well-established storage company specialising in secure household and business storage, vehicle storage, and serviced office space. As the face of the business, you'll provide exceptional customer service while helping ensure our operations run efficiently.

About the Role

This is a varied position that combines customer service, administration and operational responsibilities. Your duties will include:

Welcoming customers and office tenants to our premises.
Answering telephone calls and responding to emails professionally and efficiently.
Building and maintaining excellent relationships with customers and clients.
Managing bookings, customer records, payments and invoicing.
Assisting with basic accounts administration.
Coordinating the movement of customer vehicles within our secure indoor storage facility, often in a tight and complex environment.
Assisting customers with access to their stored vehicles and belongings.
Supporting the marketing of the business through social media and other promotional activities.
Working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
Carrying out a variety of practical, hands-on tasks around the site as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, approachable and professional.
Organised with excellent attention to detail.
Confident working in a busy environment and able to prioritise multiple tasks.
Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
A strong communicator, both face-to-face and over the phone.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
Confident handling payments and carrying out basic invoicing and administrative tasks.
A team player who is willing to get involved wherever needed.
Hands-on, proactive and able to use their own initiative.
Someone with a good sense of humour who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team.
In possession of a full, valid UK driving licence (essential).
Confident driving and manoeuvring a variety of vehicles in confined spaces.
