Commercial & Residential Maintenance + Refurbishments | London

Balcombe Group is a family-run property maintenance and refurbishment business established in 2012, delivering high-standard works across commercial and residential portfolios throughout London.

We are currently looking for an experienced self-employed Handyman / Multi-Trade Operative to support our reactive maintenance, planned works, and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out a wide range of general maintenance and repair works across commercial and residential properties
Complete first and second fix carpentry, basic plumbing, patch plastering, decorating touch-ups, silicone sealing, and general building repairs
Install, repair, and replace fixtures, fittings, ironmongery, doors, skirting, shelving, flooring, and other building components
Support refurbishment and upgrade projects on occupied and vacant sites
Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs to a high standard
Undertake making good following maintenance works
Ensure all work areas are left clean, safe, and presentable
Work efficiently to programme deadlines with minimal disruption to clients and occupants
Liaise professionally with property managers, tenants, clients, and site teams

Required Experience

Proven experience as a handyman or multi-trade operative within commercial and residential properties
Competent across a variety of building maintenance trades
Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Own tools and transport preferred
Public liability insurance required
Self-employed/subcontractor basis
