Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Event Steward to join our team. This role involves ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of events while providing excellent guest services. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, a friendly demeanour, and the ability to handle various responsibilities in a dynamic environment. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in event management and hospitality.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests and attendees in a courteous and professional manner
Monitor event areas to ensure safety and security protocols are upheld
Assist with crowd control and manage entry points effectively
Provide information and support to guests regarding event programmes and facilities
Collaborate with management to ensure event operations run smoothly
Respond promptly to any incidents or emergencies, following established procedures
Maintain a visible presence throughout the event to deter misconduct or safety hazards
Support setup and breakdown activities before and after events as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in management, hospitality, or guest services is advantageous but not essential
Excellent communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
Organised with strong attention to detail
Physically fit, able to stand for extended periods and assist with crowd management tasks
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or specialised event times
A proactive attitude with a commitment to providing outstanding guest experiences

This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop valuable skills in event management and guest relations while contributing to memorable experiences for attendees.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
