Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Phlebotomist and Health Care Assistant, where your skills will directly impact patient care and comfort. In this vital role, you will perform blood draws, assist with patient examinations, and support clinical procedures in a fast-paced medical environment. Your expertise will help ensure accurate diagnostics, promote patient safety, and enhance the overall healthcare experience. Duties

Collect blood samples using proper phlebotomy techniques, ensuring patient comfort and specimen integrity
Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations, including vital signs and basic assessments
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes clearly and ensuring their understanding
Maintain strict aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures to prevent infection
Support laboratory activities by handling specimens accurately and documenting sample details thoroughly
Perform catheterization procedures when required, following safety protocols and best practices
Provide basic life support (BLS) in emergency situations, demonstrating quick response and calm professionalism

Qualifications

Prior hospital experience or clinical setting exposure is highly preferred
Proven proficiency in phlebotomy with a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology
Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures essential for accurate documentation
Experience with aseptic technique to maintain sterile environments during procedures
Familiarity with catheterization techniques and pediatric patient care is a plus
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required or obtainable upon hire
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics
