Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Fleet Tyre & Defect Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This role involves travelling to various locations to inspect, repair, and maintain our vehicles, ensuring optimal safety and performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, be comfortable working with hand and power tools, and have a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about vehicle repair and customer service within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-site tyre inspections and repairs on fleet vehicles across multiple locations on and off site
Identify and diagnose defects or faults in vehicle tyres and other mechanical components
Use hand tools and power tools to replace tyres, fix defects, and perform routine maintenance tasks
Perform heavy lifting when handling tyres or vehicle components safely and efficiently
Maintain detailed records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Assist in the organisation of maintenance schedules to minimise vehicle downtime

Experience

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting, defect diagnosis, and general vehicle maintenance
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive repair
Previous experience working in mobile or on-site vehicle maintenance is preferred
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tyre replacements or repairs
A valid driving licence is essential for travel between locations
