JPart-Time Local Marketing & Community Engagement Executive

EasyStorage Swindon

Role Purpose

EasyStorage Swindon is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and commercially minded Local Marketing & Community Engagement Executive to help establish our brand as the leading self-storage provider in Swindon and the surrounding area.

This role is focused on generating local awareness, developing community relationships and creating new business opportunities through grassroots marketing initiatives.

The successful candidate will work alongside EasyStorage's national marketing activities, including our website, SEO, Google advertising, national social media campaigns and central marketing support. Their role is to complement these efforts by creating a strong local presence within the Swindon community.

Objectives of the Role

The primary objectives of this position are to:

Increase local awareness of the EasyStorage Swindon brand.
Generate enquiries from residential and business customers.
Develop long-term referral relationships with local businesses and organisations.
Position EasyStorage as an active and trusted member of the Swindon business community.
Support occupancy growth and revenue generation through local marketing initiatives.
Create engaging local content that strengthens our online presence.

Success will be measured by lead generation, referral partnerships, community engagement and contribution towards increasing site occupancy.

Key Responsibilities - Community & Local Business Development

Visit local businesses to introduce EasyStorage and build referral partnerships.
Develop relationships with:
Estate agents
Letting agents
House builders
Removal companies
Builders' merchants
Kitchen and bathroom suppliers
Trade counters
Local manufacturers
Industrial estates
Office parks
Business parks
Establish partnerships with local charities and community organisations who may require storage or could benefit from fundraising partnerships.
Build relationships with local schools, sports clubs and community groups.
Identify sponsorship opportunities that provide strong local visibility.

Local Marketing

Plan and implement local marketing initiatives including:

Leaflet distribution campaigns.
Local press opportunities.
Community noticeboards.
Local magazine advertising.
Radio promotions where appropriate.
Promotional events.
Open days.
Customer referral campaigns.
Local competitions.
Seasonal promotions.
Promotional signage opportunities.

Identify new and creative ways to increase awareness of EasyStorage within the local community.

Social Media & Content Creation

Create engaging local content for:

Facebook
Instagram
LinkedIn
TikTok (where appropriate)

This includes:

Customer success stories.
Behind-the-scenes content.
Time-lapse videos.
New container arrivals.
Local promotions.
Charity partnerships.
Community events.
Business customer case studies.
Staff introductions.
Helpful storage advice.

Represent EasyStorage at:

Local business networking events.
Chamber of Commerce meetings.
Business breakfasts.
Trade events.
Community fairs.
Charity events.
Local exhibitions.

Develop relationships that generate long-term referral opportunities.

Partnership Development

Identify and develop strategic partnerships with organisations such as:

Removal companies
House clearance firms
Probate specialists
Interior designers
Builders
Kitchen installers
Property developers
Student accommodation providers
Universities and colleges
Housing associations
Local employers

Create mutually beneficial referral arrangements wherever possible.

Marketing Administration

Maintain a database of marketing activity.
Track enquiries generated from local campaigns.
Measure return on investment for marketing initiatives.
Report monthly on activity, leads and results.
Manage local marketing materials and promotional stock.

Skills & Experience

Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
