Overview

Ashley Court Care Home is seeking a highly organised, motivated and professional Business Support & Recruitment Coordinator to join our management team.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the home while leading the administration of recruitment and onboarding. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and senior leadership team to ensure our office systems, workforce administration and recruitment processes operate efficiently and in line with CQC requirements and employment legislation.

As our Business Support & Recruitment Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the operational and administrative functions of the home while coordinating all aspects of recruitment and workforce administration.

This is a varied role requiring excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end recruitment process.
Advertise vacancies across recruitment platforms.
Screen applications and shortlist candidates.
Arrange interviews with management.
Request and obtain employment references.
Complete safer recruitment checks.
Process DBS applications and monitor progress.
Verify Right to Work documentation.
Coordinate offers of employment.
Prepare contracts and new starter documentation.
Organise induction programmes.
Maintain recruitment records and compliance documentation.

Business Support & Administration

Provide administrative support to the Registered Manager and leadership team.
Answer telephone and email enquiries professionally.
Welcome visitors and professionals to the home.
Maintain confidential staff and resident records.
Update electronic and paper filing systems.
Produce letters, reports and meeting minutes.
Support governance meetings and quality assurance activities.
Maintain training records and compliance trackers.
Assist with audits and CQC evidence preparation.
Order office supplies and maintain stock levels.
Support rota administration where required.
Assist with payroll administration and timesheet queries where appropriate.

Compliance & Governance

Ensure staff files remain fully compliant.
Monitor mandatory training compliance.
Support safer recruitment audits.
Maintain confidentiality in accordance with UK GDPR.
Assist with quality improvement projects.
Support CQC inspection preparation.
Maintain accurate administrative records at all times.
Advertise vacancies across recruitment platforms.

Essential

Previous administration experience.
Previous recruitment or HR administration experience.
Excellent organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional and confidential approach.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Experience working within a care home, healthcare or social care setting.
Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards.
Understanding of safer recruitment requirements.
Experience maintaining staff compliance records.
Knowledge of DBS and Right to Work processes.
Experience using electronic care planning or workforce systems.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
