Full job description

Company Overview
The Edinburgh Boiler Company is Scotland's leading installer of boilers, known for our exceptional customer service and expertise in the heating industry. As part of our commitment to sustainable energy solutions, we have expanded our services to include the installation of renewable energy systems, such as solar panels and heat pumps. We take pride in delivering high-quality installations and providing environmentally friendly solutions to our valued customers.

This is a fixed term 6 month contract with the potential for the role to be made permanent after 6 months.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced Office Administrator to play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our office, while also supporting the coordination of our expanding renewable energy services. Previous office experience is essential.

Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain project files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up to date.

- Schedule surveys for all services across the business, coordinating with customers and our installation teams.

- Prepare pre and post-installation paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

- Schedule installations with customers using our internal management system, optimizing efficiency and customer satisfaction.

- Prepare MCS certificates in compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

- Raise purchase orders with merchants for materials and equipment required for installations, maintaining accurate records and tracking deliveries.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as an Office Administrator or similar administrative role.

- Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, such as solar panels and heat pumps.

- Familiarity with Easy MCS or a similar job portal is highly desirable.

- Proficiency in managing and organizing project files and documentation.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and team members.

- Experience in scheduling and coordinating tasks, preferably in the renewable energy sector.

- Proficiency in using office software, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and solve problems efficiently.

- A customer-centric mindset and a passion for providing exceptional service.
