Full job description

Administrative Assistant – Kismet Engineering

Location: Stowfield Cableworks, Lydbrook
Job Type: Part Time job share, 20 - 30 hours per week, open to negotiation

We are a small and friendly steel fabrication company looking for a reliable and organised Administrative Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day running of the office and workshop and helping ensure jobs, paperwork and communication are kept organised and up to date.

Key Responsibilities

Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
Dealing with customer and supplier enquiries
Processing purchase orders, delivery notes and invoices
Basic payroll and HR duties
Preparing quotations, invoices and other documents
Organising and maintaining job files and records
Updating spreadsheets and company systems
Scheduling appointments, deliveries and site work
Supporting the management and workshop team
Filing, scanning and keeping paperwork organised
Share general office responsibilities with the existing administrative team member

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

Organised, reliable and able to manage a shared workload with our existing office staff
Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
Comfortable speaking with customers, suppliers and colleagues
Able to communicate clearly and professionally
Detail-oriented and accurate when handling paperwork and figures
Proactive and willing to help in a small-team environment
Previous administration or office experience is preferred

Desirable Requirements

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, construction or steel fabrication
Experience processing purchase orders and invoices
Familiarity with health and safety or quality-management paperwork
Experience using accounting or job-management software
