Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail store assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in maintaining the store's visual standards and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities
- Serving customers on deli and checkouts ensuring we are delivering great customer service. Helping load /unload orders.

-Follow any relevant food safety and health and safety processes and procedures.

-undertake any relevant training required
- Assist customers with product selection, answering queries, and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
- Keep the sales floor organised and well-stocked, ensuring that merchandise is displayed attractively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive working environment.

Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not essential As full training is provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
- A passion for retail and a keen interest in our products will be advantageous.

Start times / shift pattern

-the store is open Mondays to Saturday 6 days per week , applicants must be available to cover 5 shifts , weekend availability is essential.-

-part time is 3 full days per week Monday to Saturday (please provide availability when applying)

-shifts are between 8.45am -5.15pm however may be subject to change depending on the needs of the business, eg a large order may require an earlier start etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
