As part of our extending Wellbeing project the successful candidate will join our dynamic team to support women who have experienced Domestic Abuse to build resilience in their mental and physical health.

We want someone with vision and passion with energy for this ambitious project. You’ll be compassionate and emotional intelligent with a passion for supporting women who have experienced domestic & sexual abuse. Please see Recruitment Pack.

JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: 2x Community Wellbeing Support Worker (Newry & Portadown)

SCALE: £24,988 (£13.73/hr) Year 1 rising to £25,571 (£14.05/hr) in Year 2

HOURS: 35 hours per week

TERM: Fixed Term Contract until Aug 2027, Subject to funding

RESPONSIBLE TO: Support Service Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To support and empower women, and their children, using Women’s Aid services who have experienced domestic/sexual abuse and violence (and other forms of violence against them), to make their own decisions.

To support the ethos, vision & aims of Women’s Aid in supporting and empowering women and children.

To provide a range of wellbeing interventions and support processes and programmes for women who have been living with the impact of domestic/sexual violence and abuse.

Please Note: A Criminal Record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position in Women’s Aid Armagh Down.
