Full job description

Are you starting your career in IT and looking for a hands-on role where you can learn, develop, and make a real difference? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior IT Technician to provide frontline IT support to our staff.

You’ll work as part of a supportive IT team, helping with service desk tickets, preparing and deploying equipment, supporting users across the business, and developing your technical skills through exposure to a wide range of systems and projects.

To support continued growth in the business and to ensure the required levels of IT support are maintained, a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join us at our stylish Technology Centre located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

What you’ll do:

Provide friendly and effective 1st line support to end users.
Assist with IT setup for new starters, leavers, and role changes.
Prepare, deploy, and support laptops, desktops, mobile phones, and other IT equipment.
Help maintain IT stock, asset records, and equipment allocations.
Update IT knowledge base articles, user guides, and support documentation.
Support users with Microsoft 365, business systems, and standard software queries.
Assist with Microsoft 365 user account administration under guidance from senior team members.
Carry out routine IT checks and escalate issues where appropriate.
Support basic network tasks such as cable patching, desk moves, and connectivity checks.
Help monitor and support IT systems, escalating more complex issues to senior members.
Follow IT security procedures and assist with basic cyber security support tasks.
Assist senior team members with IT projects, system improvements, and the implementation of new technologies.

What you’ll need:

A genuine interest in IT, technology, and helping people solve problems.
A positive, enthusiastic approach and willingness to learn from experienced colleagues.
Excellent communication skills and the confidence to support colleagues across different areas of the business.
A logical, organised approach to troubleshooting and the ability to follow processes accurately.
GCSEs or equivalent in core subjects, including Maths and English.

Although not essential, it would be beneficial if you have:

Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week
Mon-Fri 8:45am – 5:15pm
