The Insight Team's role is to question, influence and provide understanding to make life better in Coventry.

The Insight Team collects, analyses, interprets and publishes a wide range of insights about the city, and engages with residents, communities and partners to champion a culture of evidence-based decision-making across Coventry.

What is the job role?

As a Senior Business Intelligence and Insights Analyst, you will support Adult Social Care Services by transforming data into meaningful insight that informs decision-making and drives service improvement. You will lead on gathering and translating business requirements, work collaboratively with technical teams to develop effective BI solutions, and provide analysis and insights that help improve outcomes for residents and support organisational priorities. A key focus of the role will be supporting the implementation of the new Adult Social Care system by designing and developing reporting solutions, ensuring reporting requirements are captured and delivered, and helping the service transition to new ways of working through high-quality management information and performance reporting.

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a proactive and analytical professional who is passionate about using data to drive better outcomes and service improvement. You will have a strong understanding of reporting and data systems, performance management frameworks, and the ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills are essential, as you will be working closely with operational services, senior leaders, and technical teams.

Beyond strong technical and analytical skills, we are seeking someone who can think creatively, challenge traditional approaches, and develop innovative solutions to complex business problems. You will be able to translate complex data into compelling narratives, using data storytelling techniques to communicate insights clearly and support informed decision-making. Experience with Microsoft Fabric would be beneficial.
