Overview

We are small but busy vehicle sales business based in Ottery St Mary specialising in vans, pick ups and selected cars. We are looking for a reliable, confident and enthusiastic person to join our team. With strong interest in the automotive industry along with IT and people skills the successful candidate will be looking to launch or progress their vehicle sales career. Training and guidance will be provided in sales, finance and business where required. The role will include customer care, vehicle scheduling, progress monitoring and administration. The customer base and vehicle offering are varied and interesting and a wide experience will be gained. Enthusiasm and communication skills will drive customer satisfaction and sales success. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face guiding customers through their vehicle purchasing journey, providing expert advice, and ensuring an exceptional experience. Your organizational skills keep the process smooth from start to finish. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your sales skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting vehicles that meet their needs and preferences
Provide detailed product information, including features, specifications, and financing options
Engage in B2B (business-to-business) sales when working with corporate clients or fleet accounts
Upsell additional products or services such as warranties, accessories, or maintenance packages to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
Manage customer relationships using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to track interactions and follow-ups
Maintain organized records of sales activities, appointments, and client communications
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or scheduling appointments to foster positive relationships

Qualifications

Strong communication skills with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
Experience in sales management or leading sales initiatives is a plus but not essential.
Knowledge of CRM software for managing customer data and sales pipelines
Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple client interactions efficiently
Ability to demonstrate professional phone etiquette and maintain positive rapport with customers and colleagues
