M8 Recovery Ltd – Scotland

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy office team at M8 Recovery Ltd, one of Scotland’s leading vehicle recovery companies. We are looking for an organised, reliable and motivated Part-Time Accounts & Payroll Assistant to support our finance and administration functions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accounts or payroll experience who is looking for flexible part-time work. We will also consider candidates with strong administrative experience who are keen to develop their skills in accounts and payroll. Full training will be provided for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will assist with:

Processing sales and purchase invoices
Maintaining accurate financial records
Purchase ledger administration
Credit control and following up outstanding accounts
Assisting with weekly payroll processing
Responding to emails and telephone enquiries
Liaising professionally with customers, clients and account holders
General office and administrative duties
Maintaining accurate and confidential employee and financial records
Using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and internal computer systems
Supporting the wider office team as required

Skills & Experience

Ideally, you will have:

Previous accounts, payroll or administration experience
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A professional and confidential approach
A willingness to learn new systems and processes

Experience with Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll would be advantageous but is not essential, as training will be provided.

Hours: Flexible part-time hours, Monday to Friday
Working Hours: To be agreed with the successful candidate
Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
Location: In person
