Welder Fabricator

Full - Time Position

Monday - Friday

08.00 – 16.30Hrs Monday -Thursday

08.00 – 15.30Hrs Friday

Working for a small engineering company based in the Newbury area with car parking facilities as a Welder Fabricator, to be responsible for the building of specialist vehicles and associated equipment. You will be working directly with a team of craftsmen under the control of the Workshop Supervisor.

You will need to work with limited supervision and be part of a small team, have good communication skills and a pleasing personality.

Have the skills to work with a full range of Carbon Steels (sheet, plate, bar and various sections etc.) and work to a good standard with MIG welding.

Working with aluminium and stainless steel, therefore, TIG welding skills would be an advantage.

To be able to work with a variety of machine tools including guillotine, bending and cutting equipment.

The company has high health and safety standards and it is imperative that all employees adhere to these standards for themselves and those who work around them.

Welder Fabricator responsibilities include:

· Manufacture of components to engineering drawings.

· Manufacture of components to verbal instruction.

· Fabrication and Welding of specialist truck bodies.

· Use of a full range of workshop equipment to assist with the above.

· Skills for MIG welding to a good standard.

· Skills for TIG welding would be a distinct advantage.

· Skills for machining of components would be beneficial, but not essential.

· Skills outside the role would also be advantageous.

· Ability to work well under limited supervision.

· Driving duties maybe required.

Salary: To be discussed - depending on experience

Good holiday entitlement

Driving Licence (Essential) due to location.

PPE will be provided.

Overtime Work is available as required.

Willingness to learn new skills would be a distinct advantage, as training would be given.
