Full job description

Casual /Temporary / Part-Time HGV Class 1 Driver

We are a well-established and busy family-run steel fabrication and erection company based in Dundee. Due to an absence we are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a casual, temporary, full-time or part-time basis, supporting deliveries and collections across Scotland as required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Delivering structural steelwork to various sites throughout Scotland using artic lorries and 45’ trailers.
Loading steelwork onto trailers using overhead cranes.
Unloading steel deliveries at our workshop premises using overhead cranes.
Delivering and collecting materials and orders using a transit van.
Following all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
Assisting with other duties as required.

Skills and Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence.
Previous experience handling structural steelwork preferred.
Flexible, reliable and willing to support the team when needed.
Ability to use, or willingness to learn to use, overhead cranes (training provided).
Availability for occasional early starts or later finishes depending on workload.

Additional Information

Flexible Hours working Monday to Friday.
Work based in Dundee and across Scotland.

Experience

Minimum 3 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
