Join Our Team at Timloc as a Materials Controller

About Us

Timloc Building Products is a long‑established British manufacturer based in Howden, East Yorkshire, producing sustainable building products from ground level to roof ridge and supplying merchants with a broad range supported by next‑day service.

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Materials Controller to join our team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate control, availability, and replenishment of materials required to support our manufacturing and operational activities.

About the Role

As a Materials Controller, you will be responsible for inventory accuracy, stock control processes and material replenishment. This is a hands-on role, you will work closely with production, warehousing, and supply chain teams to ensure materials are available when needed and inventory records remain accurate.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Control

Conduct silo counts.
Maintain control of consumables.
Ordering consumable items.
Physical cyclical stock counts across all material categories.
Investigate stock discrepancies.
Receipt purchase orders.
Chase overdue purchase orders.

Quality Checks

Physically checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
Report damaged or incorrect goods to Supply Chain Manager.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Previous experience in physical inventory control.
Strong attention to detail.
Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
The ability to investigate problems and identify root causes.

Desirable

FLT (Forklift Truck) certification is required.
