Front of House & Patient Experience Receptionist

The Lytham Dental Clinic | Lytham St Annes

More than a reception role

At The Lytham Dental Clinic, we believe excellent dentistry begins with how people are made to feel.

We are looking for a warm, dependable and highly organised person to become the welcoming face of our growing private dental practice. You will help ensure that every patient feels listened to, reassured and genuinely cared for, from their first enquiry to the moment they leave the clinic.

This is an important, people-focused position for someone who takes pride in doing things well, enjoys being part of a close-knit team and wants to build a lasting career with a practice that will invest in their development.

For the right person, the role offers genuine opportunities to grow, including the potential to progress into a Treatment Coordinator position in the future.

The difference you will make

You will often be the first and last person our patients speak to. Your kindness, professionalism and attention to detail will shape their experience of the clinic.

Some patients may feel nervous or uncertain, so we need someone who can listen carefully, communicate clearly and provide calm reassurance. At the same time, you will help keep a busy practice running smoothly by staying organised, anticipating what needs to happen next and supporting the wider clinical team.

Your responsibilities will include:

Welcoming every patient warmly and creating an excellent first impression.
Building genuine, professional relationships with new and existing patients.
Managing appointment diaries proactively and efficiently.
Responding to telephone calls, emails and patient enquiries with care and confidence.
Guiding new patients through the enquiry and booking process.
Ensuring patient information, records and pre-appointment paperwork are complete and accurate.
Explaining next steps and providing appropriate reassurance before and after appointments.
Processing payments accurately and sensitively.
Following up with patients and helping them continue their treatment journey.
Inviting patients to provide feedback, reviews and testimonials.
Communicating closely with dentists, nurses and colleagues across the practice.
Helping the day run smoothly by noticing potential problems and acting early.
Contributing thoughtful ideas that improve our service and patient experience.

The person we hope to meet

Dental experience is welcome, but it is not essential. You may currently work in hospitality, retail, healthcare, sales or another customer-facing environment.
