Are you looking for a job as a Fostering Recruitment Officer? Would you like to help recruit more foster carers for local authorities who urgently need more carers? Can you provide our potential foster carers across the region with a welcoming and friendly response to their enquiries? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding fostering recruitment hub for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as a Fostering Recruitment Officer. You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting potential foster carers from their very first steps in their fostering journey through to their first year as approved foster carers.

As a Fostering Recruitment Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people. You will work closely with social workers, marketing officers, foster carers, and other professionals to ensure that we are finding the best foster carers for our children and young people in the care of the local authorities.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized and have a knowledge of the local area. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and be willing to go the extra mile to ensure that potential foster carers feel supported.

The role is hybrid – working 2 days a week from the office and other days working at home or in the community. The role also involves working flexibly, sometimes outside of traditional working hours, to be available to engage with members of the public.

The role is initially on a fixed term contract from 30th September 2026 for 1 year on Grade E SCP10-14 (£27,694 - £29,540)
