Snap Fitness Neats Court is looking for a motivated, organised and people-focused Assistant Club Manager to join our team.

As Assistant Club Manager, you will work closely with the Club Manager to ensure the club operates to a consistently high standard. You will take ownership of delegated operational responsibilities, support the team and help deliver an excellent experience for our members.
You will also be expected to take responsibility for the club when the Club Manager is unavailable, ensuring standards, member service, staff performance and day-to-day operations continue to run smoothly.
About the Role
The Assistant Club Manager is a key member of the club management team.
You will support the Club Manager across the day-to-day running of the club, including operations, member experience, sales, staff performance, compliance, cleanliness, maintenance and administration.
This is a hands-on role. We are looking for someone who is comfortable getting involved, solving problems and taking ownership rather than waiting to be told what needs doing.
Key Responsibilities
Club Operations
- Support the Club Manager with the efficient day-to-day operation of the club.
- Take responsibility for delegated operational tasks and projects.
- Monitor club standards throughout your shifts.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures where required.
- Ensure operational checklists and procedures are completed accurately.
- Support the Club Manager in implementing company processes and actions.
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of the club in the Club Manager's absence.
- Identify operational issues and escalate them appropriately.
Team Leadership & Staff Support
- Support the Club Manager in leading and developing the club team.
- Provide direction and support to Gym Assistants and other club staff.
- Help ensure staff complete their duties and checklists to the required standard.
- Address minor performance or conduct issues appropriately and escalate where required.
- Lead by example in customer service, presentation and professionalism.
- Support staff training, communication and development.
- Help create a positive and accountable team culture.
Member Experience
- Deliver a consistently high level of customer service.
- Build strong relationships with members.
- Deal confidently and professionally with member enquiries and concerns.
- Help resolve member issues and escalate more complex matters to management.
- Support member engagement, retention and satisfaction initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve the member experience.
- Support club events, challenges and engagement activities.
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Support the Club Manager in achieving membership and retention targets.
- Conduct club tours and convert prospective members into memberships.
- Follow up membership enquiries and leads.
- Support lead generation and local outreach activity.
- Promote memberships, personal training, referrals and club initiatives.
- Monitor and contribute towards club KPIs and performance targets.
- Help identify opportunities to improve membership growth and retention.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Support the Club Manager with compliance requirements.
- Ensure hazards, accidents, near misses and maintenance issues are reported promptly.
- Complete and monitor relevant operational and safety checks.
- Support compliance audits and corrective actions.
- Help maintain a safe environment for members, visitors and colleagues.
Club Presentation & Maintenance
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and appearance.
- Regularly inspect the gym floor, reception, changing rooms and communal areas.
- Identify and report maintenance issues.
- Where appropriate and within your competency, assist with basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure maintenance and operational issues are followed up appropriately.
- Support the Club Manager in maintaining the overall presentation of the club.
Administration & Systems
- Maintain accurate member and operational records.
- Complete administrative tasks accurately and on time.
- Use company systems effectively.
- Support accurate reporting and data management.
- Manage bookings, appointments and member-facing activities where required.
- Ensure company procedures and SOPs are followed.
- Communicate operational issues and required actions clearly to management.

Fitness industry experience is desirable, but we are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, leadership ability and work ethic.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be someone who wants to progress.
You may already be working as a Gym Assistant, Personal Trainer, Supervisor, Team Leader or Assistant Manager and be ready to take the next step in your career.
Alternatively, you may already have management experience and want to move into the fitness industry.
You should be someone who sees problems and looks for solutions, takes pride in the standards of their workplace and is comfortable holding themselves and others accountable.
Hours & Salary
Salary: £24,500 per year
Hours: 160 hours per month
The role will include a mixture of weekday, evening and weekend shifts, and flexibility will be required to meet the operational needs of the club.
