Full job description

We are a busy GP practice looking for someone who is organised, reliable, confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to provide a professional and friendly service to our patients.

Previous GP practice experience and good working knowledge of SystmOne are essential for this role. We are particularly looking for someone who is already confident navigating SystmOne and understands the demands and responsibilities of working within a GP reception environment.

The Role- 20hours per week

The successful candidate will work closely with our Partners, salaried GPs, Nursing Team, Reception Team and Practice Management Team to ensure patients receive an effective, efficient and professional service.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing an effective and efficient reception service to patients and other visitors to the Practice.
Dealing with face-to-face, telephone and online patient enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
Using SystmOne confidently and accurately as part of day-to-day duties.
Booking, amending and cancelling appointments in accordance with Practice procedures.
Supporting patients through effective care navigation, ensuring they are directed to the most appropriate service or clinician.
Handling incoming and outgoing telephone calls, taking accurate messages and ensuring information is passed to the appropriate person.
Processing repeat prescription requests in accordance with Practice procedures.
Registering new patients promptly and accurately on the clinical system.
Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring good standards of record keeping.
Processing electronic workflow and administrative tasks.
Supporting referral processes, including NHS e-Referral Service (e-RS) where required.
Undertaking general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the Practice.
Assisting with data quality checks and ensuring information held within the clinical system is accurate and up to date.
Assisting with administration relating to QOF, Enhanced Services and other Practice targets where required.
Supporting the Practice Management Team with administrative duties as necessary.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with information governance requirements at all times.
Undertaking any other reasonable duties appropriate to the role as requested by the Partners or Practice Management Team.

Please ensure your application clearly demonstrates your previous GP reception experience and level of SystmOne experience.
