Locum Dental Hygienist/ Therapist

Location: AV Dental, Church View Health Centre, South Kirkby, Wf9 3AP.

Job Role

Join our friendly practice!

We are looking for a motivated Locum Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our mixed NHS/ Independent dental practice on a temporary basis throughout the summer.

We're a patient focused practice that takes pride in delivering high quality care in a relaxed and supportive environment working in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Conducting direct access appointments and providing personalised treatment plans for patients
Carry out treatment on a referral basis from general dental practitioners within the practice
Perform professional hygiene procedures, including scaling and polishing, to maintain optimal oral health
Deliver periodontal therapy and education to patients to promote good oral hygiene practices
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with practice protocols
Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and health & safety regulations during all procedures

Qualifications and Experience

Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or Therapist within a clinical setting
GDC registration
Excellent communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively
Organisation skills to manage appointments efficiently while maintaining high standards of care
