Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery across our operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to contribute to the smooth running of our facilities. The position involves working with hand tools, power tools, and schematics, ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals
Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble, disassemble, and repair equipment
Perform welding tasks as required to repair or modify components
Assist in the installation of new machinery and systems
Carry out heavy lifting tasks safely when moving or installing equipment
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns efficiently

Experience

Proven experience in mechanical repair or maintenance roles, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, and assembly processes
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic maintenance procedures
Experience in equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programmes
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately
Physical capability for heavy lifting and working in demanding environments
Previous experience providing customer service or technical support is advantageous
