Spa Treatment Manager

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and ambitious Spa Treatment Manager to lead our treatment operations and inspire our talented therapy team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the spa leadership team, helping shape the future of our treatment offering while maintaining the exceptional standards our guests have come to expect.

Working alongside the Spa Operations Manager and reporting directly to the Spa Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of our treatment department, ensuring operational excellence, commercial success and an outstanding guest journey.

The Role

This is a hands-on management position that combines treatment delivery, leadership, operational management and guest care.

As Spa Treatment Manager, you will continue to deliver luxury treatments while leading the day-to-day treatment operation, developing the therapy team and driving innovation across the spa. You will have a genuine influence over the future direction of our treatment offering, helping to develop new experiences, seasonal packages, promotional activity and wellness initiatives.

You will work collaboratively with the Spa Manager and Spa Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of the entire spa, sharing responsibility for operational standards, compliance and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, inspire and support the therapy team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Recruit, onboard, train and develop therapists.
Create and implement structured training and development plans.
Conduct regular one-to-ones, treatment observations and performance reviews.
Foster a positive, high-performing team culture built on professionalism and continuous improvement.

Treatment Operations

Oversee the day-to-day treatment operation.
Deliver luxury treatments to the highest professional standard.
Manage therapist diaries and booking optimisation to maximise occupancy and revenue.
Ensure treatment rooms, equipment and therapist standards consistently exceed expectations.
Monitor treatment performance and identify opportunities for continual improvement.

Commercial Development

Help shape the future of Devona Spa's treatment offering.
Develop new spa experiences, treatment rituals and seasonal packages.
Plan and deliver promotional activity, wellness events and product launches.
Work closely with suppliers and brand partners to introduce innovative treatments.
Drive retail performance through coaching, education and guest recommendations.

Guest Experience

Champion an exceptional guest journey from arrival through to departure.
Ensure treatment protocols and consultation standards are consistently delivered.
Respond professionally to guest feedback and implement improvements.
Lead by example through outstanding treatment delivery and customer care.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

Work closely with the Spa Operations Manager to support the overall operation of the spa.
Share responsibility for maintaining high operational standards throughout the business.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, COSHH, company procedures and risk assessments.
Support daily operational decision-making and duty management responsibilities.
Complete regular audits and ensure all treatment areas remain compliant and exceptionally presented.
Complete and maintain a Pool Emergency Responder qualification (training provided).

About You

We're looking for someone who combines exceptional treatment expertise with confident leadership and a passion for developing people.

You will have:

NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
A minimum of 5 years' experience within the spa and beauty industry.
Previous supervisory or management experience within a luxury spa environment.
Outstanding treatment standards and excellent technical knowledge.
Experience coaching, mentoring and developing therapists.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive occupancy, retail and treatment performance.
Excellent organisational and diary management skills.
A proactive, positive and professional approach.
High attention to detail and impeccable presentation.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required.
