Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Locum Healthcare Assistant (HCA), where your dedication and compassionate care will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. In this vital role, you will support clinical staff by providing high-quality, person-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will ensure smooth daily operations and positive patient experiences. Responsibilities

Assist nursing staff with the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs
Support patients with daily activities such as mobility, hygiene, and nutrition, ensuring their comfort and dignity
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, following organizational protocols and IT systems for record-keeping
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure clear understanding of care procedures
Contribute to a safe environment by adhering to health and safety policies and reporting any concerns or incidents promptly
Support the organization’s workflow by managing supplies, equipment, and maintaining cleanliness of clinical areas
Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and organizational procedures

Experience

Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar care role is preferred but not essential; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
Strong understanding of nursing principles and the ability to assist with care plans effectively
Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging empathetically with patients from diverse backgrounds
Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy healthcare setting
