Full job description

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our small but friendly team.

Hours will be by negotiation

You will be dealing with the accounts for multiple companies.

Duties will include, verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions. posting invoices and paying tradesmen, Paying VAT online, PAYE and annual accounts to trial Balance for multiple companies, produce quarterly P & L statements for accounts that fall within making tax digital

The ideal applicant will be an experienced bookkeeper or accounts clerk with the ability to work accurately and methodically on a number of different companies and must have an eye for detail.

You will be dealing with the public in person and on the telephone so must be confident, patient and able to stay calm under pressure?

You must be computer literate on Microsoft office programs, particularly Excel and be able to pick up new software quickly?

You will need an understanding of manual accounting and experience of MTD for VAT and paying VAT.

We would like experience with Focus Letting software, however this is not essential as training can be given. Experience with letting software packages would be advantageous.

There may be the opportunity to expand the role in future to cover aspects of property letting.
