Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper. This role offers an opportunity to manage essential financial records, support accounting processes, and ensure the accuracy of our financial data. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our accounting operations while enjoying flexible hours that fit your schedule.

Duties

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts using popular accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable by verifying invoices, preparing payments, and ensuring timely disbursements
Maintain accurate records of expenses, receipts, and financial documents in compliance with company policies
Assist with bank reconciliations and prepare financial reports as needed to support management decision-making
Support month-end and year-end closing activities by organizing documentation and ensuring data accuracy
Collaborate with directors to improve bookkeeping processes and streamline workflows
Ensure confidentiality and security of all financial information at all times

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounts payable procedures
Excellent attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
Basic knowledge of accounting practices and financial reporting standards
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently
Excellent communication skills to collaborate across teams
