Full job description

Experienced Pub Cook

The Jolly Coopers is a friendly village pub in Wardhedges, Flitton, looking for an experienced and reliable pub cook to join our small kitchen team.

Up to £15 per hour + tips, depending on experience.

This is a permanent, part-time position offering predominantly daytime hours and would suit an experienced cook looking for regular, consistent hours in a relaxed village pub.

Hours

Monday–Friday: 11am–3pmMonday & Tuesday evenings: 5pm–9pm

Holiday and occasional weekend cover required.

Applicants must be available for all of the above regular hours.

The role

You will be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional pub favourites and confidently running our lunchtime kitchen service.

Duties include:

Preparing and cooking freshly made traditional pub food
Running lunchtime service
Food preparation and stock organisation
Maintaining excellent kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
Working independently when required

What we’re looking for

Previous professional cooking experience essential
Pub cooking experience strongly preferred
Confident running a kitchen service independently
Reliable, punctual and organised
Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen standards
Someone looking for a stable, permanent position
Must be able to reliably travel to Wardhedges, Flitton for all scheduled shifts

What we offer

Only two regular evening shifts per week
