Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled part time Cake Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and baking, with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to delivering high-quality pastries. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft a variety of delicious baked goods in a professional kitchen environment, contributing to the overall success of our establishment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry section, including equipment and work surfaces
Monitor ingredient stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during busy periods
Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimise waste and maximise efficiency
Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation of the culinary team

Skills

Proven experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, or bakery roles within a professional kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques specific to baking and pastry arts
Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with an ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team setting
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is essential
