Here at Mainsgill Farmshop we are on the search for new hospitality Front of House Breakfast & Lunch Chefs to join our growing team.

Located on the A66, 4 miles west of Scotch Corner in Richmond North Yorkshire, we are a family-run, award winning flagship farmshop and tearoom which continues to grow each year. We use our own home-reared meats from the family farm in our tearoom, as well as quality local produce. Our farmshop is brimming with our homemade produce from our artisan kitchen, home-reared meats from the farm, and a vast range of unique food and drinks. We pride ourselves on providing the highest standards of customer service, and all our team working together to go the extra mile for each visitor.

Our tearoom is a busy, popular destination, with a large team working each day Front of House, and in the Kitchen. We welcome coaches and large parties, and serve an array of fresh foods from breakfasts, lunches to cakes and afternoon teas.

Candidates will start their career with us learning how our tearoom works, reading food orders, making all types of breakfasts and lunch light bites on our menu, and ensuring there is sufficient bacon and sausage in our ovens to ensure a speedy service for our customers. Learning is very hands-on, and our experienced established team members will guide you throughout. Once settled in, and experienced in reading/understanding orders, your role will progress further to leading the team front of house, working the pass and directing our servers to the correct tables, while preparing fresh food. Our tearoom is a busy, fast-paced environment with a large number of covers completed each day. All members of the team work together as a team to ensure all orders are completed in a speedy manner, and to the highest quality. Our tearoom provides potential to learn, grow and to become a part of the family hospitality business.

Main responsibilities include:

Making traditional breakfasts made to order. This includes; Bacon/Sausage hot sandwiches, Eggs Benedict, traditional English breakfast, scrambled eggs, poached eggs.
Making fresh lunch bites made to order. This includes; fresh sandwiches using our home reared meats, salads, jacket potatoes, burgers.
Ensuring areas are clean and tidy at all times following food hygiene protocols
Following all food safety protocols

Excellent and negotiable rates of pay. Salary discussed on application
Sociable daytime hours, 7:30am start – 5:00pm finish
No split shifts
No evening work
To work 5 days each week.
No rota, set days each week (allowing you to plan day-off activities ahead!)
Guaranteed agreed hours week in, week out (no zero-hour contracts)
Paid lunch break, where lunch is provided
Drinks provided throughout the day
Free secure parking
28 days annual leave (based on full time schedule)
