Purpose of the role:

Working within the Innovations Team, you will work alongside fantastic crew of scientist and fabric innovations specialist who are experts in what we do. You will provide administrative and analytical support to wider Innovations Team. You will bring previous experience from quality or research and development environment ideally within manufacturing sector, with experience working in testing labs. You will come from cross-functional teams where collaboration is required to achieve business milestones

This is full time site based role, working Monday to Friday 37.5hr per week

Key responsibilities and accountabilities of the role:

Support the team with administrative and analytical support.
Create and maintain filing and recording systems for all works streams
Maintain the Innovations samples library, document sample data as directed and store samples safely for easy retrieval.
Maintain and ensure together with the team that all Innovation paperwork for projects is updated and other Innovation documents are updated & stored in a systematic way.
Arrange dates and time for trials with the Operations and Planning team.
Ensure the correct materials and documentation is available ahead of the trial to allow the Innovations Technologist to carry out trials in a timely manner.
Collect samples, accurately record sample data, date & time of production, products codes, and trial information needed for the trial library.
Co-ordinate meetings as directed, including booking meeting rooms and refreshments as well as recording meeting minutes
Working with Procurement team to purchase materials for trials as directed.
Sending Innovation samples to customers and other partners.
Carry out low levels testing and record results accurately
Carry out analysis on trial data as directed.

Qualifications & Experience required:

Previous working experience in Quality, R&D or Textile Manufacturing is desired
General administration in busy manufacturing environment or manufacturing experience in analysing samples & data
HND or Maths/Science graduate
We would consider University leaver in STEM subject who is wanting further progression withing Textile Manufacturing field

Aptitudes:

Analytical mindset, very good with data interpretation and logical conclusions
Great organisation skills and attention to detail
Understand and interpret complex technical information and be able to communicate this to colleagues or suppliers in an easy-to-understand manner.
Able to communicate at all levels within the business, adapt style and tone as required
