Contract: Permanent
Position: Warehouse Assistant & Delivery Driver
Branch: Sheffield S2 4SP
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Saturday

About the Yorkshire Tile Company

The Yorkshire Tile Company is a small to medium sized business founded in 1974. The Yorkshire Tile Company sells direct to retail, trade and contract customers over four branches with the head office based in the founder city of Sheffield. The success of The Yorkshire Tile Company is reliant on friendly and helpful warehouse assistants who are able to unload deliveries and prepare orders for customers in a timely efficient manner.

Duties & Responsibilities

General duties include picking customer orders for delivery or collection as well as picking products for the inter branch transfer run. Loading and unloading vehicles is a key role in this position and the successful candidate will be required to have both a counter balance and reach forklift licence. The successful candidate will also be required to drive a transit van to carry out local customer deliveries around the Sheffield area. Deliveries can be with tiles or with bathroom items. Other duties include general housekeeping - keeping the warehouse organised and tidy. Some heavy manual lifting will be involved due to the nature of tiles.

Job Requirements

UK Clean Driving licence essential

Counter balance and reach forklift licences preferred

Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
Past experience of loading and unloading vehicles preferred
Friendly approach to customers and fellow members of staff
Enthusiasm to learn and great attitude
Willingness to be flexible
A passion for delivering excellent customer service aiming to exceed customer expectations

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
