Full job description

Bench Joiner / Furniture Maker – Premium Bespoke Furniture & Kitchens
Location: East Bergholt, Suffolk | Salary: Competitive, DOE | Pension, free on-site parking

We design and hand-build free-standing and fitted furniture and kitchens for private clients across East Anglia and London. Our work is detail-led, materials-driven, and built to last generations — and we're looking for a bench joiner or furniture maker with 4–7 years' experience to join our workshop team.

What you'll be doing:

Building high-end bespoke furniture and kitchens from technical drawings, largely workshop-based with occasional on-site fitting
Working across the full range of workshop tools and machinery
Solving problems as they arise on the bench, not just following instructions
Working closely with the rest of the team to hit deadlines and budgets without cutting corners on quality

What we're looking for:

4–7 years' experience in furniture making or bench joinery
Previous experience at a similar premium furniture or kitchen maker
Solid grounding in joinery/furniture-making tools and machinery
Confident reading and working from technical drawings
A sharp eye for detail and a genuine pride in craft
Good problem-solver, comfortable working as part of a small team
Track record of delivering on time and on budget
Clean driving license (for occasional on-site fitting)
