Job Advertisement: General Manager

Location: Sunderland
Salary: £40K - £45K

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate General Manager to join our team. If you thrive in a vibrant hospitality environment and are ready to lead by example, this could be the role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing daily operations of the pub/restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Managing and creating staff rotas to maintain adequate coverage and meet business demands.
Complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
Leading and motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Handling staff training, development, and performance management to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Ensuring stock is well-managed, including ordering, maintaining inventory levels, and minimising waste.
Managing budgets, monitoring revenue and expenses, and working towards achieving financial targets.
Maintaining compliance with licensing laws and regulations.
Addressing customer feedback promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
Organising and promoting events or specials to attract customers and increase revenue.
Being a hands-on leader by assisting with day-to-day tasks, including serving customers and ensuring smooth service during peak times.

What We’re Looking For:

Hospitality Experience: Previous experience in a pub or similar hospitality setting is essential.
Management Experience: Essential
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to business needs.
A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a customer-focused mindset.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business.
