Build the future of EV infrastructure — and build your career while you're at it!
Gigawatt Industries is growing fast, and we need skilled, driven people to grow with us. As a leading Independent Connections Provider (ICP), we're delivering nationwide EV charging infrastructure - real high-value projects that are changing how the country gets its power.
Join one of our 3-man teams and you won't just be labouring, you'll be learning a trade that's in serious demand, on some of the most significant civils and utilities projects in the UK.
This isn't a generic groundworks role. You'll get hands-on with trenching for HV/LV cabling, installing ducts, building foundations, and reinstating surfaces to a high standard — all while working alongside experienced tradespeople who'll help you level up. If you've got some construction or utilities experience and want a genuine route into becoming a Machine Operator, or Team Leader, this is where that journey starts.
Why join Gigawatt
- Major projects, nationwide — work across the country on commercial-scale EV charging installations, building real experience you can't get sitting still.
- Grow your skillset, not just your CV — we maintain and build your competencies on the job, with a clear path toward tickets like Cat & Genny, SWQR, and NPORS/CPCS plant qualifications.
- A team, not just a crew — regular team outings and a genuinely close-knit working culture. You're never on your own out there.
- Salaried security — paid even when the job's completed ahead of schedule, as long as it's done to standard.
- Straightforward communication — clear lines with your team and management, so you're never left guessing.
- Team vehicle provided — no scrambling to sort your own transport to site.
- Accommodation and food allowances — when you're working away, we've got your stay and your meals covered.
- Weekly pay, every Friday — plus overtime opportunities when you want to earn more.
- Company pension and free on-site parking.
- Real progression — as Gigawatt grows, so do the opportunities. This is a genuine stepping stone toward Groundworker, Machine Operator, and Team Leader roles.
It's a physical, demanding job, we won't pretend otherwise. But it's also one of the best routes into a skilled trade with a company that's scaling up and wants to bring the right people up with it.
