Tradecore International is a fast-growing, successful company specialising in global procurement, international trading, and supply chain management. Based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, we work with a wide range of international clients across diverse sectors including Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Agriculture, Engineering, Marine & Defence

Job Overview

We are seeking a Buyer to join our team based in Chandlers Ford. This is a fast-paced and varied role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

The Buyer will play a key role in supporting end-to-end procurement activity, including sourcing products, liaising & negotiating with suppliers, and working closely with Procurement Account Managers to deliver timely and competitive quotations for client requirements

A key part of the role will involve expediting, ensuring that orders progress smoothly through the supply chain. This includes actively monitoring open orders, chasing suppliers for updates, resolving delays, and maintaining clear communication with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery. The role requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues that could impact lead times or customer requirements.

This position is central to ensuring efficient supply chain delivery and high-quality service to our UK and international clients across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Support Account Managers by assisting with client requests for pricing, particularly smaller or time sensitive enquiries, to support client responsiveness
Obtain pricing, lead times, and technical details from suppliers to enable you to prepare quotations accurately within internal systems (ERP/CRM)
Process client purchase orders accurately and efficiently within internal system
Raise Purchase Orders to suppliers in line with approved suppliers and terms
Monitor and track purchase orders from issuance to delivery.
Confidently communicate with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and resolve delays.
Maintain accurate records of orders, shipments, and correspondence.
Work closely with logistics, and procurement account managers teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
Provide regular updates and reports on order progress to Procurement account managers.

Skills & Experience

Experience in buying, sales support, or customer service roles
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
Positive attitude, proactive approach, and ability to work independently or within a team.
Confident telephone manner to challenge supplier delays
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication skills (internal and supplier-facing)
Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing/margins
