Full job description

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Bar Person/ Supervisor to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about providing exceptional service in a lively environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing bar operations, supervising staff, and ensuring guests enjoy a memorable experience. Previous experience in hospitality and food safety is preferable but not necessary.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and ensure the bar area is clean and organised at all times
Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the till .
Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, responding promptly to their needs
Oversee the organisation of events or special promotions at the bar
Train new staff members on procedures, service standards, and safety protocols
Monitor customer behaviour to ensure a safe environment for all patrons

Qualifications

experience in hospitality or restaurant environments, particularly in serving or bar roles would be preferable but not necessary.

Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices within the industry
Strong understanding of responsible alcohol service and licensing laws
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and balancing .
Good communication skills, friendly demeanour, and professional appearance
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
